AGROMAK Machinery Manufacturing Industry and Trade Co. Inc. was established in March 1999 , for the purposes of manufacturing and marketing small tillers for hobby, gardening and small farming use (3.5 thru 13 HP range) as well as gokarts for recreational use. Agromak has three registered trademarks: Agromak, Hobimak and Hobisan. Agromak manufactures, imports and sells agricultural machinery and tools. Hobisan manufactures and sells agricultural equipment such as wheelbarrows and portable hangers. As the requirements for such products are seasonal in Turkey, in order to utilize the fabrication facilities, Agromak has begun production of "fun-karts". The chassis is designed and fabricated by Agromak, the engines (3.5 - 13 HP) are either Honda or Briggs and Stratton. Agromak fabricates go-karts and fun-karts under the Hobimak brand name. Being the only manufacturer in Turkey, it produces 6 different kinds of karts; Track type Hobikart Cat; 5.0 - 6.0 HP- Hobikart Squirrel ; 3.5 - 4.0 HP range - Hobikart Rabbit ; 5.0 - 6.0 HP range - Hobikart Fox; 6.0 - 8.0 HP range - Hobikart Jackal ; 8.0 - 9.0 HP range and Hobikart Jackal Pro.; 11.0 - 13.0 HP range . AGROMAK has a fabrication facility (approx.8750 sqft) and a showroom (approx. 1600sqft) in Adapazaýi. The company employs 14 people and 3 salesmen devoted to farming equipment marketing, who travel the region both promoting its products and obtaining the feedback from its customers as well as 5 national dealers located in different regions of Turkey. AGROMAK also markets some of the range that it imports or fabricates at TEKZEN Home Improvement, Hobby and Garden Centers, the first and one of the most successful of such outlets in Turkey with an expected turnover of USD 40 million in year 2001, located in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa,Izmir and Izmit.
